Lilydale falls

    About two weeks ago we went to Lilydale (about 30 km east of Launceston) to see a really nice waterfall. It was only a ten minute walk from the carpark, along a cute river. Once we got pretty close to the waterfall Shane and I had to go separately as Emma couldn't walk with us or be carried: it was too muddy and slippery. Hopefully we'll be able to go back there in a few years when she's bigger and able to walk more sturdily. So one of us went off while the other stayed with Emma on the bridge. There were two paths: one taking us to the top of the waterfall, and another one to the bottom of it. I was blown away by the beauty of the waterfall when I first saw it! It reminded me of the film The Beach (which I hated) that showed lots of fantastic water related features! I loved being at the bottom more than at the top. And now for the photos, which speak for themselves...

    Il y a environ deux semaines, nous sommes allés à Lilydale (à environ 30 km à l'est de Launceston) pour voir une très jolie cascade. Dix minutes de marche plus tard (pfiou!) nous sommes arrivés à un pont. De là le sentier est devenu trop boueux et glissant pour pouvoir emmener Emma avec nous donc nous y sommes allés l'un après l'autre. J'espère que nous pourrons y retourner dans quelques années quand Emma saura mieux marcher. Il y avait deux sentiers: l'un menait en haut de la cascade et l'autre vers la base. J'ai été en admiration dès que je l'ai vue! Ca m'a rappelé le film La Plage (que j'ai détesté) avec ses cascades, rivières et plages. J'ai trouvé qu'être à la base était bien plus sympa qu'être en haut. Voici les photos qui parlent d'elles-mêmes en fait...

Oui, j'adore ce genre d'atmosphère!

Paysage super joli, tes photos me font penser à des légendes médiévales, un peu la forêt de Brocéliande. Il y a quelque chose de mythique dans ce paysage je trouve. C'est vraiment magnifique en tout cas !

C'était moi en haut du toboggan, je suis petite, presque de taille enfant... :)

C'est vrai que c'est sympa d'en bas, avec les gros arbres exotiques comme on en a pas chez nous...

J'aime beaucoup la photo d'Emma ou elle essaie d'attrapper l'appareil photo.
